Dr. Rafiyath received his medical education and early training in Kerala, India, and served as House Surgeon at Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College.
He moved to the United States in 2005 where he completed his residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Rafiyath has earned many accolades during his career including multiple Resident of the Year awards for his medical knowledge and leadership skills and the prestigious Michael Bernstein Recognition Award for the best teaching resident.
He has been active in several clinical trials and given lectures on a number of cancer related topics. In addition, Dr. Rafiyath has numerous publications to his credit.
