Sharaf Diwan, MD, is a board-certified physician with over 20 years of experience in internal medicine and infectious disease. He serves both men and women from his private practice in Northwest Houston.
Dr. Diwan received his medical degree in 1989 from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. After relocating to the United States, he continued his education at the University of Minnesota Health in Minneapolis, where he finished an internship in family medicine.
In 1994, Dr. Diwan completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. He went on to receive specialized training in infectious disease at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, both in Houston.
Since completing his formal education in 1997, Dr. Diwan has gained extensive experience and knowledge in treating diseases of all kinds, including hepatitis C, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), diabetes, tuberculosis, pneumonia, and post-travel infections.
