Meet sweet little Miss Amelia! She is 4 years old and is Dr. Shaw’s second-to-youngest child (and our youngest patient!). Amelia was a “binky baby.” This caused her upper jaw to be narrow and her lower jaw to shift around when she tried to bite down. Dr. Shaw placed a mini RPE (rapid pallet expander) to help correct her bite. Guess what? She said it didn’t hurt at all and we know kids tell the truth! 😂👏🏼
Our very own Dr. Shaw will be a speaker at this years Orthopreneurs Summit. Dr. Shaw helps run a large meeting every year for orthodontists who want to learn how to be better clinicians and business owners. In past years Dr. Shaw has been the Emcee to entertain the audience with his dance moves between speakers.🕺 This year he will be featured as a speaker in this virtual event since there is no stage to dance on! 🕺😎

⭐Man oh man! Look at that handsome Shaw Smile!⭐
Our friend Tanner's upper and lower teeth were pretty crowded, and if you look closely, you can also see some wear patterns on his teeth caused by what is known as a 'deep bite.' A deep bite is when the top teeth hide the bottom teeth. While not always easy, Dr. Shaw was able to correct Tanner's crowding and his bite using Invisalign. He was able to digitally move the teeth and then print out a series of carefully customized aligners. He's become so skilled at using this method of orthodontics, he's considered a Diamond+ Invisalign provider! This means that Dr. Shaw does more Invisalign that 99% of other healthcare providers in the entire country!! WOWZA!!
