The @kartell_official A.I Chairs were designed by Phillip Starke made out of clean recycled plastic using Artificial Intelligence software.
For this meaningful educational project we selected 10 Design and Architecture Senior High School @dashschool students to intervene the AI chairs using sustainable materials and guide them through the process.

An example of such is an art installation made from collected beach plastics and up cycled vintage TVs, the #ElectricReef a contains QR code’s that allow shoppers to become heroes and donate immediately to @coral_org & @coralrestorationfoundation mixing art with eco conscious social responsibility.

The most interesting gift of inspiration... #jeanmichelbasquiat - an artist, a poet, a performer, producer, an activist and so much more. Throughout his career, music remained a significant marker of his creative achievements.
Fun fact: During the conversion of 11 Bond St, home to current day Showfields, they uncovered what just may be a remnant of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s street art days. The work was found under several layers of graffiti and was extremely faded.
It’s the merging of the many artistic art forms synonymous of Basquiat’s work and the energy of the city that inspires our daily creative process.
Art, be it music, spatial, or/ and sensorial, is a living and breathing language that tugs at the heart and offers cerebral stimulation in an extraordinary way. It is for all people in all times and is a collective experience intended for everyone much like the concept of freedom or water. Art creates community. Art creates understanding. Art creates a mutual narrative that people can get behind and claim ownership. ✨

About Our Guest Curator
Tam is the current Head Curator at SHOWFIELDS where she is helping to bridge art with retail.
She is the former Head of the Curatorial Department of the Artist Pension Trust as well as Head Curator for RAW POP UP. Tam is the co-founder of Culturadora and currently sits in the Board of Directors of the Kulturspace Foundation in Berlin.
Originally from Venezuela, she studied Art History at the Sorbonne University. She then specialized in Diplomacy at the Herzeliya Interdisciplinary Institute in Israel and received her M.A. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Tel Aviv University.
