About

Acupuncture in South Austin/Oak Hill Area

We are a full service Oriental medicine clinic located in the Oak Hill region of Southwest Austin. We offer acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (asian bodywork), cupping therapy, guasha, nutritional support, taichi and qigong. Though we treat a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions, our natural focus is on pain management, sports medicine/concussion, other neurological and auto-immune disease.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years and is a very successful system of medicine. It focuses on restoring the body to its natural balance by resolving problems at their root cause. As we learn more about how it works, it becomes more obvious that acupuncture and Chinese medicine should play a vital role in maintaining one's health. It is an excellent therapy which works well in conjunction with other forms of medicine.

Have you been getting back into those hobbies while staying safe at home? Maybe you've been knitting, crocheting, painting, gardening, writing, gaming, doing jigsaw puzzles, or just working on projects you've been saving for a rainy day. I have been a knitting fiend which left me with very sore wrists and fingers. Fortunately, acupuncture treatments with Dr. Stefanie relieved the pain, swelling, and numbness very quickly! After years of medications, Cortisone shots, and physical therapy, people with ligament or tendon issues often end up resorting to surgery. Instead of going that route, try Acupuncture and see what kind of results you have. Various Acupuncture Treatments have proved to be effective for carpal tunnel and other soft tissue ailments. Treatment has been shown to be as helpful, if not more so, than anti-inflammatory medications without the negative side-effects. Acupuncture can also help restore dexterity and feeling in the effected areas.

As we head into a new year, we carry over some of the same old, same old from last year. If you're bringing lingering symptoms from COVID-19 into the new year, we'd like to help you get rid of them. Many people report some continued symptoms, in particular the loss of smell and fatigue. There has been recent research showing how acupuncture can help restore the loss of smell. A sense of smell is very important and contributes to how we enjoy our environment, know if food is bad, and effects how our food tastes as well. Acupuncture and herbs can also help overcome the lingering fatigue many people experience after a viral infection. This fatigue can be debilitating and prevent you from enjoying activitis and time with loved ones. If you or someone you know is experiencing post-Covid-19 symptoms, give us a call to see how we can help!
Are you feeling this year's cedar fever? Whether you prefer herbs or acupuncture, we can help stop your sneezing, wheezing, itchy eyes, and that coughing that turns heads these days! Or you can just buy this t-shirt from @austindotcom. We vote for the former. Give us a call! :)
