Working at Silverado Senior Living
It's now easier to call Silverado Hospice Bay Area.
In this time of unprecedented challenges, we'd like to take a moment to recognize the heroes serving on the frontlines of this crisis providing care to at-risk populations nationwide. Your bravery and selflessness in caring for those who are the most vulnerable to COVID-19 is humbling and heartwarming, and how you have chosen to be present for those who cannot care for themselves is inspiring beyond measure.
From all of us at Silverado to all of the care professionals who are making great personal sacrifices to ensure the wellbeing of those who rely on others to survive, thank you.
With many seniors not able to fully celebrate the holidays this year, we thought we’d bring them some holiday cheer. On Christmas Eve, Silverado Hospice went caroling to senior living communities by singing via microphone and sound system in their parking lots. Seniors and staff members watched through windows and doorways at a safe distance. Silverado Hospice is glad to bring a little bit of joy during this holiday season. Happy holidays!
This month we are sharing our appreciation for our team member Kerri Haley, Medical Social Worker for Silverado Hospice.
Kerri joined the Silverado Hospice Bay Area team in July 2020 and works full time as a Medical Social Worker and as the Bereavement Coordinator. She recently graduated in May 2020 from Notre Dame De Namur University with her master's degree in Clinical Psychology and license concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is passionate about working with the elderly population and utilizes an eclectic approach focusing on improving the well being of each patient.
Thank you for your wonderful contributions to the team!
Today our team members picked up a meal from Boston Market and their individual holiday gift hand picked by our leadership team. Next week we’ll celebrate and open our gifts together on Zoom for our holiday party. This holiday season is a little different but we are glad to still be able to celebrate with each other. Happy holidays! 🎁
For the third year in a row, we've earned industry-leading recognition on the Fortune Best Workplaces for Aging Services™ list! After placing 27th in the nation on the 2018 list, our ranking rose to 19th in 2019. This year the trend continued and we placed 6th in the 2020 rankings. This is an incredible honor for us because it ranks the top companies out of the hundreds surveyed, based on hundreds of thousands of employees’ responses.
In a year marked by so many challenges, this honor is a testament to the respect our associates share for each other!
