We believe that no individual should walk through their grief journey alone; we are here to walk with you and accompany you in your grief. Everyone experiences grief differently, and Silverado is here for you. The Silverado Hospice Bereavement Program is offered to family members and loved ones at no cost for 13 months following a loss.
We’re happy to share that Silverado was recently certified as a Great Place to Work® for a third consecutive year by the Great Place to Work Institute! We’re so grateful to know that our associates find their work fulfilling and worthwhile. Visit the official site for details on what our associates love about Silverado.

A Drawing Exercise to Help See a Beautiful Way Forward
One of the self-care activities that we previously shared with you was exercising. However, we know most of you spend a lot of time sitting down while working so we would like to share a way to be able to do both, work and exercise. Here is a video one of our social workers, Isabel, shared with us that provides a few easy stretches that can be done while seated.
We hope you all try them and it creates a difference in your day!

This month we would love to highlight our wonderful Patient Care Manager, Rose Lopez 😊
Petals for Patients Program
Silverado Hospice believes in the power of flowers, beauty and nature to heal the spirit and nourish the soul. With the generous flower donations from Burlap & Rose Weddings, we deliver fresh flowers to our patients in hopes of lifting their spirits and brightening their final days. We believe that fresh flowers brought to the bedside of a Hospice patient shows them that they are loved.
This weekend we decided to get outdoors! It was so nice to spend time together while being safe.
In this picture you will find our:

Algunas veces estamos tan ocupados que llegamos a olvidar o postergar nuestro cuidado personal. Es por eso que traemos un recordatorio para usted de lo importante que es llevarlo a cabo en nuestra vida. ¡Esperamos lo pueda tomar en cuenta!
Come join our amazing team!
For the third year in a row, we've earned industry-leading recognition on the Fortune Best Workplaces for Aging Services™ list! After placing 27th in the nation on the 2018 list, our ranking rose to 19th in 2019. This year the trend continued and we placed 6th in the 2020 rankings. This is an incredible honor for us because it ranks the top companies out of the hundreds surveyed, based on hundreds of thousands of employees’ responses.
In a year marked by so many challenges, this honor is a testament to the respect our associates share for each other!

Our lives can get busy, trust us, we know! You may be thinking that finding time for yourself is impossible, and continue grinding through the day. We have put together a list of self-care activities that may help you find a routine that works for you.
These are hard times, so I know we often need encouragement to be kind to ourselves, to celebrate "little" successes, and to engage in positive self-talk. We would like to share with you a sweet and helpful illustration that one of our social workers, Jordyn, sent us :)
Silverado wishes you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
