Meet Susan, Co-Founder and Event Director
I grew up dreading the question, “Where are you from?” During my school-age years, I moved several times from the NJ/NY area to Texas, went to college in Texas and have lived in Kentucky and Ohio before landing in Savannah. If it took all of those moves to get me and my family to Savannah, every bit of that packing and unpacking was worth it! I am at my happiest early in the morning with a cup of coffee on our dock or boating the waterways with my family and friends.
Professionally, I started in the corporate world, stayed at home to raise our three daughters, and taught junior high Algebra. Yes, I am the only person I know who loves junior high-aged kids AND Algebra! Maybe that’s why I thrive on the organization in the planning of events and the adrenaline rush of event day. Throughout my moves and career changes, the one constant in my life has been hospitality and event management. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients, friends and family smile, relax and enjoy their events confident that the execution of their ideas is in good hands. From employee picnics to formal weddings, I love it all! I am truly a seating chart, timeline, spreadsheet, flowchart nerd – and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Meet Emily, Co-Founder and Event Director
Hey there! So where do I start? I am a Georgia girl at heart, born in Snellville, Georgia (a true OTP person for you Atlanta readers!). I attended the University of Georgia, and then moved to Nashville immediately after graduation to work for a large corporation. After about 7 months there, my job moved me to Jackson, Tennessee where I lived for 2 years and met my husband! We got married in 2008 in Atlanta, and soon after our wedding my job moved us to Asheville, North Carolina. It was after my own wedding that I realized how much I LOVED weddings and wanted more of them in my life. I started doing day-of-coordination as a side hobby for friends and their friends for the past 8 years. From beach weddings to mountain weddings to big city weddings, I have seen it all! Every wedding is unique, and it gives me such joy to help people have the wedding of their dreams. I cannot get enough! I love a good “punch list” and a rock solid timeline. I get stuff done and quick! I am also very solution oriented, and feel really comfortable thinking on my feet.
In 2013, my husband made a major career change that brought us to Savannah! We absolutely love the playground that is Coastal Georgia! When I am not coordinating weddings and events, you can find me loving on our three babies! We have a set of twin boys who are two, and a little girl who is one! Our family of little munchkin’s keeps us busy and on our toes, that is for sure. They drive the bus and are the reason for everything we do! Ask for me to show you pictures of them, because I have 1.2 million! Other loves: quality time with my husband, fun new foods and wine, good conversation, good movies or shows, traveling (I can dream about some kind of fabulous trip, right?), laughter, antique shopping, photography and making our home a “homey home” for our little ones.
