Well the online idea for classes was apparently not a hit with people so we have a change of plans. We are going to do IN PERSON classes starting October 12th. We will have small classes with depending on the number of dogs one person per dog. Puppies at 6 o'clock on Mondays. Adult dogs at 715 on Monday. Classes will be at Smith Road Elementary. Basic obedience and manners. We will also have an advanced class on Thursdays from 6 to 715. If you would like to get the Canine Good Citizens certificate for your dog this is the class for you. I felt like my last post was really long. I did want to let you know I am still doing private sessions. I still prefer doing them online with zoom. Same content as in person sessions but cheaper. I don't need travel time or gas in my car to do the sessions. You dont need to open a zoom account , you just need the app. People have been extremely happy with their results from these classes. Dogs sometimes act different when I come to your house. This way the are in their own environment with their own people. I have started doing some in person sessions with people outside. Outside sessions are harder due to all the distractions. I am still working during the day at another job which is going to make this harder to do with it getting dark earlier. Some people have room in their house that we can social distance. If this is so we can discuss in person sessions. My consult is free. Online sessions are $125. That covers all five sessions. The fifth session we do outdide or at a dog friendly store. The in person sessions are $200. I will take $25 off if you can pay at the time of consult. Hi past present and future clients. It has been awhile. Hope everyone is doing well in this crazy world we are living in. Classes will be starting on September 28th for basic obedience. We wi be starting out online with zoom. If the covid status in Michigan changes we will be able to go live. We may do a couple classes outside weather permitting. Zoom is easy to use you only need the app. You dont need to open an account. It will be the same content as the in person classes. I hsve been doing private sessions online all summer. People have been extremely happy with their results. The advanced class will be in person starting October 1st. We will have to wear masks and social distance. This classis usually alot smaller then the regular class. That is why I am able to do it in person. There can not be more then nine people in the room. Sign up on Bedford.k12.mi.us. Alot of people got new puppies or dogs while they have been off due to the virus. Your new pups may not have been left home alone during this time period. Time to start getting them use to it before you go back to work. Leave them alone in the house wherever they will be when you go back to work. Start out with a short amount of time. Build it up gradually. Take your car and drive around the block. Getting them use to being alone now will hopefully save you from having a pup with separation anxiety. Basic obedience training can also help make them feel more confident. We are still doing online training. The same content that you would get if I was coming to your house but at a cheaper price. Looking for in person puppy or dog basic obedience classes? Your pup already has the basics down but you would like to work on getting their commands more polished? There are still spaces in the IN PERSON classes through Bedford community education. Their flyer says they are virtual classes but we have changed that to IN PERSON. Basic obedience on Monday nights at Smith road elementary. Advanced class on Thursday same location. Apply on line at Bedford.k12.mi.us Price is $100for all six classes. I am upset to hear that people think I use shock collars when I train. I do not know where people are getting this information from but it is totally wrong. They may be getting me confused with another company that has sit in their name. Let me make it very clear I do not use shock collars, prong collars or chokers.
