PSA Update: Many of you may not have been aware that we opened up for about just under two weeks in June. I chose not to inform everyone of reopening due to this being a test run. It was and still is our goal to maintain a commitment and obligation to our prepaid membership clients, and gift certificate clients.
Unfortunately, my son showed some signs of being ill that originally seemed minor up until the following day when his temperature rose to 101.2 and he was producing many symptoms of having contracted Coronavirus. This truly has been one of the scariest moments of my life. I rushed him to Children’s Medical Center where my husband met me to take over with our seven year old daughter. FYI parents, only one parent may enter the hospital when accompanying a child and no other children may join. Lucas was tested. One thing you should know about testing available to us is that if you take the swab test, it is only 48% affective. Testing within the within 10 to 14 days of contracting the virus is very likely to produce a false negative.
Temperatures went on for a full four days ranging from 99.9 to 102.8. Motrin proved to be the best fever reducer for Lucas. Luckily, we’re two weeks later and he’s doing well. It’s important to know that there are multiple strains of the virus. What does this mean? This means that you can be infected by a whole different strain. The testing did come back negative. However, testing was taken within five days of when I believe he may have come in contact with a person who may have been infected. This would mean that testing was very likely a false negative. I do believe he had some strain of the virus. Fortunately, no one else in our household became ill. That’s not to say that we didn’t contract the virus and may be asymptomatic. We’re still waiting on our results. Of course, we needed to wait 14 days post possible transmission for the most accurate results.
For the safety of our clients, ourselves and our families, we have chosen to remain closed for the time being or at least until we begin seeing a reduction in positive cases. We will revisit the idea of reopening in three weeks. We are booking ONLY membership clients for one month out on a contingency basis only. This is with the hope that we can reopen. Given there are no orders to remain closed. Two of the largest states, California and Florida have now signed an order banning spa/salon/nail/barber facilities from providing face to face services at this time. One state signed an order to indefinitely ban face to face services. I do believe we are not far behind these states in producing an order with the same language.
On the brighter side of things, I’m glad I was able to work our new safety and sanitation protocols for the week and a half we were open. It really gave me insight on how to improve and balance time. We did reopen at a 25% capacity. Meaning with only me, the owner providing services. I simply did not have the heart to ask my staff to place themselves in harms way without having completed two weeks and worked out any kinks in our safety measures. With the nearly two weeks of experience returning, given the numbers reduce, I am confident we can provide a safe and sanitized environment for our guests.
If you provided a gift certificate for a loved one, please know that we will honor those gifts by giving them three months from the date of our fully reopening to use those gift certificates. This means upon the date of being fully staffed. Unfortunately, I can not project when that date will be. This is totally and completely based on the projected safety for guests and employees. If you have purchased a Groupon and you require immediate service, it is my recommendation that you request a refund. We will honor any Groupons or Yelp vouchers purchased from February through to three months after reopening.
We are working on ways to serve other health needs to strengthen your immune system. Please, be on the look out for those updates.
I hope this helps you all gather our commitment and the responsibility we take in providing service to those of you who have chosen us to be your service providers. We value you and greatly appreciate you.
Wishing you all health and safety. And please, I respectfully ask that you not forget to wear your mask in public. Even on the street. Not because YOU’RE not invincible but because most of US are not. It’s the thoughtful and courteous thing to do for your neighbor, family and community.
With love and appreciation ❤️❤️❤️

It is with a heavy heart and prayers for our community that I inform you that we are closed. In an effort to commit to the health of our community and our families, we will not reopen our door until the threat of the Covid19 is lifted.
Though we enter a space of uncertainty, a place where even the worst has yet to come, I know we will get through this. And at the end of that tunnel, there will be light. And I assure you, we will be there with an open door to serve and connect with you. I can say that over this next month or two or longer, we will be thinking of you all.
In the meantime, we will stay connected by sharing our lives with you via this page and ask that you do the same. I'll post skin tips, live video how to's, my homeschool bloopers (I'm no teacher y'all. Pray for me), live videos of procedures applied to a handful of my immediate neighbors and hubby. Product knowledge for PCA Skin, Glo Skin Beauty and Young Living Essential Oils and Supplements. All and all, we'll do our best to keep you entertained and hopefully help you crack a few laughs while we navigate our ways through this crisis.
If you would like to support us in this time of great hardship, you can head to our website where you can purchase a gift certificate (Gift Box in top left corner) to be used in the future. You can also request a curbside delivery within a 3 mile radius for all product lines listed above given we have your requested item in stock. Any shipped deliveries will be a $5 flat fee. Now, and through next Friday, receive 10% off PCA Skin products. In the meantime, be on the lookout for extraordinary offers made in April for purchase ahead packages.
Again, we love and appreciate you all for the 11 years of support you've given us and we'll continue to keep you all in our prayers and thoughts as we grind through this hurdle together.

With well over 20 classes and workshops underneath my belt with our Industry's Education Leader, International Dermal Institute, I highly recommend this blog read. Dive into understanding P.acne bacteria and how you can prevent a skin's poor response.
P. acnes is part of the natural skin flora and accounts for about 87% of the bacteria. It grows deep inside follicles, lives anaerobically and feeds on the sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. For the most part, this bacteria can be relatively harmless; however, if follicles become plugged, the low oxygen levels and accumulating sebum create a prime environment for the growth of P. acnes.

People tend to go into a frenzy when they hear Mercury will be in retrograde, since it is believed to cause extreme emotional highs and lows, miscommunications, and malfunctions. Don’t worry, though, because the perfect tactic to combat any retrograde effect is self-care, either at home or in a spa.
