Dr. Shauna Kranendonk is a board-certified dermatologist in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, who specializes in cosmetic and surgical dermatology.
She received her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in dermatology at the University of Minnesota. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During her fellowship with world-renowned cosmetic surgeon Suzan Obagi, MD, she developed an interest in autologous fat transplantation for facial rejuvenation. She has published her technique in the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and is currently studying the longevity of autologous fat transplantation using 20 megahertz ultrasound. She is one of the few physicians in the country that offers this procedure for full facial recontouring.
Dr. Kranendonk's knowledge in cosmetic dermatology is recognized nationally. In the past year, she has co-authored two textbook chapters, including "Skin Rejuvenation" in the surgical textbook Cosmesis of the Face and Jaw, and "Proprietary Peels" in the dermatology textbook Chemical Peels.
Dr. Kranendonk has been in private practice since 2000.
Dr. Kranendonk has been a featured guest on television and radio talk shows and has lectured at hospitals and universities including lectures in Minneapolis, Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh.
Dr. Kranendonk serves as spokesperson for Olay, a division of Proctor and Gamble, and is a member of the Dermatology Advisory Panel for Encite, Electronic Health Records. She also serves as a consultant for Coolibar clothing company which designs sun-protective clothing.
