Dr. Skylar Gemmer's mission is to help to give humanity another option to better health care by educating his community about chiropractic. Dr. Skylar is passionate about chiropractic and assisting those in their healing process. Dr. Skylar Gemmer has been involved in Chiropractic his entire life. Born into a chiropractic family he learned about chiropractic early on, getting checked for spinal misalignments moments after birth. Working and going to school fulltime he recalls driving about an hour to see his own chiropractor, paying cash out of his own pocket and occasionally not even needing to be adjusted that's how important maintaining health is to him.
Dr. Skylar goes to the chiropractor the way others go for routine physicals or dental check ups, because the spine requires regular maintenance much like a car, a home, or our teeth. If something requires maintenance and you neglect it, it WILL ALWAYS break down and the spine and nervous system are no different.
After graduating from Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Skylar made it his mission to be a great adjustor and sought out those in the profession who could help him achieve that goal, he continues dedicating his time working hard to advance his craft. He continues learning and completed a CDC ACSM CEC Certification on Concussions. Dr. Skylar also became Certified in Myovision DynaROM which is used for assessing those who have sustained a work or Motor Vehicle injury. He also mentors those interested in pursuing chiropractic as a career. Dr. Skylar is the Vice President of his chiropractic college alumni board where he serves to help improve the school's endowment fund and keep alumni connected to the school. Dr. Skylar was elected by his professional peers as a Director of the DSC Professional Chiropractic Fraternity Grand Council which helps to further the chiropractic profession. In his spare time he enjoys working on his bonsai plants, fishing, golfing, traveling and visiting with friends and family. Dr. Skylar does not believe that health or sickness happen by accident; but rather from habits and behaviors made consciously or unconsciously and therefore practices healthy behaviors his daily life.
