Dr. O’Keefe and her family have welcomed a healthy human baby boy into their home! We are so excited for Dr. O’Keefe as she takes this journey into motherhood! She will be out on Maternity Leave until mid-March; in which time we will still have both Dr. Nelson and Dr. Austin available for appointments. Also helping to cover for Dr. O’Keefe is Dr. Carla Barker, attached is a little bio and photo to put a face to her name!
With Midwest roots, Dr. Carla Barker has practiced veterinary medicine for almost 23 years from the Oklahoma City National Stockyards, to Capitol Hill, Bavaria-Germany and Teton Valley, Wyoming. Marrying an Army Apache helicopter pilot after veterinary school at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine has sent her to many destinations. She loves internal medicine, ophthalmology, ultrasonography, and people. Dr. Barker strives to provide great client education, and attention to the needs of both the client and the pet.
Her free time is spent hiking with her giant fluffy dog, Ringo, and keeping the family house pig, Clementine, out of the snacks. She and her husband have four children and live in Luther, Montana

We were notified last week that a skunk did test positive for Rabies in Yellowstone County. For the next 60 days, we are in a county-wide quarantine for unvaccinated dogs, cats and ferrets.
