Happy to share my recent video of “As the World Goes On” by Fredrick Kaufman, written for me during the pandemic and recorded live in Klotz Kitchen-Concert Hall
Music to move your soul. Incredible version of the “Ubi Caritas”

OK I just discovered this and was floored. I dare you not to be moved as I was by this rendition of the first stanza of the Latin hymn, “Ubi Caritas”. Listen all the way through.
Kings Return clearly need to put out an entire album of Latin hymns. Their voices transcend the physical limitations of ‘song’ as the Spirit indelibly weaves Himself within their collective art. What a gift.
I so hope they do more...
LATIN TEXT:
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.
Exsultemus, et in ipso jucundemur.
Timeamus, et amemus Deum vivum.
Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Where charity and love are, there God is.
The love of Christ has gathered us into one.
Let us exult, and in Him be joyful.
Let us fear and let us love the living God.
And from a sincere heart let us love each other (and Him).

18 years ago a spinal injury robbed me of my passion for playing the organ and directing choirs. Periodically it has attempted to do the same with playing the piano. A month ago I stopped teaching and playing the piano simply because the pain was so intense. Two days ago I began planning my come back! I sat at the piano and read through the first movement of the Bach's Italian concerto. It was the 15 min. version instead of the 4 minutes it usually takes, but I did it! I discovered a lot about the motions that triggered the pain and found solutions around them. I was exhausted. Today I played only the first page. Looking for the motions that caused pain and tension. The concentration required was incredible. I now have the first page with relatively no pain. 20 minutes at the piano (two sessions of 10 minutes)! I will find a way around the pain while I wait for covid-19 numbers to fall in South Florida so I can have my spine stabilized with multiple fusions. Let's see what tomorrow brings.....
