I was raised to believe that if a person worked hard enough, they could pursue their dreams and goals and attain them. So, when the opportunity came to act on my dream of owning and building a successful business, it seemed like a lofty but certainly attainable goal. I jumped in enthusiastically. I had started my career in February of 1981, the early stages of interconnecting telecommunications sales and service providing PBX and Key -Telephone Systems outside of old Ma-Bell. After a couple of weeks working in this industry, I came home and told my wife that this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me “second to meeting her”, and that I could not imagine doing anything else. I would wake up every morning as excited as could be to go to work and would get depressed when the weekend would come because I wasn't working. To this day, 39 years later I still get just as excited to go to work and do what I love doing the most and that is finding a way to help Small Biz grow by providing them with the very best service and products available in this new age of communications.
From 2009 to 2016 I ran a company called Data-Tel System Solutions that served telecommunications systems and data networks for companies such as Kohl’s,3.33 Cisco, and Dollar General. In 2016 I began to consider how I might expand my ability to help small businesses. That’s when the light bulb came on after reading about “opportunity thinking”. This applied to hard work and commitment - change the equation to success. So, I changed our name to Small Biz Communication Services so that our name conveyed to our customers and potential customers what our focus in business was. We are focused on helping start-up businesses and small businesses to grow and be successful.
As a small business owner, you must wear many hats to run your business. I want to eliminate most of those hats and let you focus more on growing your business. I don’t have the overhead that a lot of my competitors have so I take those savings and pass them along to my customers and potential customers so that they can have the same expertise, service, and products that all of my competitors have to offer at a much lower labor rate that can allow you to build your digital communications for now and well into the future. By doing so, you don’t have to wear all those different hats and allow you to grow your business.
