Smarter HR Solutions is a boutique HR firm that was inspired by the needs of small to mid-sized companies. The founder has over 20 years' experience in HR in industries such as Oil & Gas, Banking, Healthcare, and Education. She decided to step out of corporate HR and accepted the challenge of working with a "small company" that employed over 600 part-time people but kept the same infrastructure as if it was still a small company. The owner was laser focused on growing her business and her HR needs were too great to manage. Our founder was able to create an infrastructure with an employee manual, policies and procedures, streamlined the hiring process of seasonal workers, developed a cost-effective Employee Recognition Program, developed employees through training and development initiatives, migrated paper files into an electronic HRIS system, and was able to shave over $350k from the compensations budget via rescheduling and market compensation analysis. This invaluable experience made apparent the need of HR support for small to mid-sized businesses that may be in a growth phase but do not have the HR support they need to stay viable, efficient, and profitable.
