Ok folks, tax filing deadline is July 15th. That is just a little over two weeks from now. The girls and I will be in the office Monday-Saturday (check Facebook or sign on door for daily hours) to help you meet the deadline. If you are coming into office we ask that you not bring children or other visitors with you. If you do not want contact service just pull into parking lot and call office number. We will work with you to provide tax service and covid social distancing if desired. We look forward to finishing tax season and seeing each of you.

Starting next week through July 15th, SME will be open the following hours for your convenience. (July 15th is the new tax day!!!)

We are receiving tons of emails, texts and phone calls regarding the stimulus payments. We are more than willing to help all of our customers. Please note that we are having a really hard time keeping up with the volume of questions. Please note the following, share with all your friends and pass the word along
A lot of you have received your stimulus money and that is great. If you have not, we will not know the reason.
Here is what you can try.
Go to the iRS website and irs.gov, then click on Get Info on Economic Impact Payments.
Next: read very carefully info under the blue Get My Payment box
After completely understanding that information, if you need to go further, click the Get My Payment box. It tells you that you will need your 2019 return and possibly your 2018 return. You will need those before going further. We are not in the office and therefore cannot provide that information for you.
When you have the information ready, click on the blue Get My Payment box again and provide the information requested.
You will have to wait to be connected and length of time will vary. Once connected you will have to click on OK to continue.
This is where it is different for each taxpayer. Read the information and act accordingly.
Please note that if you filed your taxes in our office using a bank product through Republic Bank and either picked up your refund checks at our office or had Republic Bank to direct deposit your refund to your personal banking account, the account number listed may be Republic Bank's routing transit number (3060) or the last three of your social security number with a 0 at the end. If your stimulus payment is sent to Republic Bank and they have your direct deposit information on file your payment will be forwarded as soon as possible to your account. If you picked up a check in our office, Republic Bank will be mailing your check to you. If your address has changed please call Republic at 1 866-581-1040.
If you still need assistance after following these steps, we are still available to help you. You must be a current customer that either filed your 2018 return with us and you have not yet filed your 2019 return or have filed your 2019 return with us.

The IRS announced yesterday that the tax filing deadline for the current filing year has been extended until May 17th. Congrats to procrastinators and taxpayers who owe additional taxes🎉🎉🎉. We are here to help with your additional month of time to file. Our office will be closed briefly from April 16th - April 19th. We will be available beginning April 20th through May 17th on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s during that final month. Please feel free to call our office if you would like to book an appointment during that time with your favorite preparer as we will not all be available every day.
