The U.S. DOL just revised the definition of "health care provider" under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act ("FFCRA") to the limited meaning of that term under the Family Medical Leave Act ("FMLA") (e.g., a doctor authorized to practice medicine, nurse, dentist, etc.). Thus, an employee is no longer exempt from taking paid sick leave under the FFCRA merely because he/she works at a medical facility.
