About

Our gorgeous property provides you the opportunity to have the farm wedding of your dreams without the inconvenience of a rural setting that's far from everything. We are a working equestrian farm on 20 acres in the heart of Redmond, Wash. -- less than 10 minutes from Redmond Town Square and just 30 minutes outside of downtown Seattle. Your experience at Smokey Wood can be fully customized to meet any budget. Want to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage? We've got it. Take wedding photos among the trees? Done. We allow any outside vendors as long as they are licensed and insured. If you have a wedding planner, we'd love to meet and work with them. Or, we can help you choose the items for your dream day! It's all about you and what you want!

Happy #nationaldaughtersday to my two girls, the lights of my life, but also to all of my other ‘kids’ at the farm, who light up my days in other ways. Stay strong always, ladies. It will serve you well in life. 🥰

We were lucky to get some rain overnight, but it only made a small impact. We still have smoky skies and haze, though it’s better than yesterday! Horses are still doing okay and today we are opening their outside stall windows. We’ll close them again when we feed dinner to allow the air in the barn to clear up over night. More rain on Thursday and then Friday should be much better! 🤞 Washington Department of Ecology is with Collaboration Link. September 15 at 8:37 AM · Many parts of western Washington saw a little rain overnight. It felt good, but it didn't help that much with particulate pollution levels. Air quality is still in the very unhealthy to hazardous range. Keep an eye on our monitors and continue to protect yourself: https://enviwa.ecology.wa.gov/home/map One thing you'll notice on our map this morning is that there are no more green dots. Those monitors were tracking other types of air pollution, such as ozone. Now, our default view shows particulate pollution levels, which is what we're most concerned about with the smoke.
Great info on the atmospheric conditions as well as the risk to horses and humans. We also follow purpleair.com for real time air quality updates. Really hoping things improve soon!!! ☹️ WASMOKE.BLOGSPOT.COM Atmosphere is not delivering what we ordered
😂
The air quality is still terrible, and the forecast for tomorrow doesn’t look much better. Ponies are holding up very well and we are giving them extra love as much as we can! 💖
The dry paddock project is so close to completion! All 10 of them are 36x36 and will soon have stalls, with five of them available for boarders. I’m sold out (as I am with stalls) but if you’d like to get on the wait list, shoot me a PM. 🤩🐴
The sweetest couple in the world celebrating with a micro wedding in our flower garden today. ❤️☀️🥂
The horses are the stars of the farm - or are they? #kidslovechickens #bettytherooster 🐔🐣

I try to keep this page light, but animal welfare is near and dear to my heart. Please do your homework before getting a pet - any pet. And if you find yourself unable to care for them anymore, take them to a rescue organization. 😢 #petsarefamily #rescue #animalwelfare
Seeking experienced, part-time help on Sunday afternoons, with the possibility of some additional hours on both Saturdays and Sundays. This is a paid opportunity for someone who is looking for truly part-time, supplemental work. We have no full-time positions available and we don’t trade lessons, board or training for work. Duties include turning horses in and out, feeding, second picking of stalls, picking paddocks, cleaning water buckets and other duties as needed. Must have previous experience with horses; show barn experience is a plus. If interested, please send a PM.
@erikaleeequestrian and @novellafarms rode together today for a fun little jumper show at home. Everyone looked super! I thought it was especially fun to watch @zoe_m_l_p and @mm._eventing go around the 3’3” together! They both looked spectacular, so many years after they started riding together in pony club, before Zoe went the #hunterjumper route. ❤️ @caroline.eventing @liv_and_eventing @pennylangley_eq
The boys are VERY interested in their cute new neighbor. 😂 Welcome to the farm, Dolly! And a belated welcome to sweet boy Astro! @rachaelfolsom @anderson.eventing
SMOKEY WOOD FARM Farm Hand
No clue how he got it off. And when we found him, he was dancing around it like it was his first kill. 🤦‍♀️🤔😈
#waybackwednesday to when it was sunny and warm and we were at shows. 🤩
Masks and social distancing have been required at our farm since March, so no changes in policy needed due to the revised guidance. Keep doing your part and we’ll do ours! 💞 #wegotthis💪 #maskupamerica
Dolly says “whatcha doing? I can help!” 🦄💞#latergram @rachaelfolsom
Happy 23rd birthday to our king of the farm (and namesake — the “wood” comes from his show name!) You look better than ever, buddy. 🥳🎂
