Here is Smooth Sailing Dental Front Desk Specialist, Jaime’s favorite Halloween memory.
Every year for Halloween I have a huge party with family and friends (unfortunately, not this year). Last year I had a scary movie theme and I was the puppet from Saw and I even dressed my pups up! Bentley was Freddy Krueger and Lynx was Jason Voorhees. I make trophies for a costume contest every year. I play scary music outside and decorate the house from the front yard through the house and to the back yard with creepy decorations! I even put Jason in the shower in the bathroom as a little surprise for the guests!
We're so grateful to have so many amazing patients! Even though this year hasn't been exactly ideal, thank you for supporting us and choosing us for your primary dental care.

Smooth Sailing Dental Assistant, Morgan favorite Halloween memory.
Howl-O-Scream is Busch Garden’s Halloween event that they host every year. Since my fiancé and I began our relationship in 2011, every year we have gone to either Universal’s or Busch Garden’s Halloween events. It has become a tradition for us. We don’t go for the scare, but more for the excitement of the costumes and themes of the haunted houses. This picture was taken in 2018 at Howl-O-Scream’s “Day of the Dead” scare zone. We love this spooky time of year! 👻🎃💀
We think all of our patients have such fab-boo-lous smiles! 👻

Smooth Sailing Dental wants to share with you how several crew members bring holiday cheer to people in need in the Treasure Coast community. Here is what brings joy to Samantha and her sons during the holiday season.
Christmas outreach has been a HUGE part of our holidays for the past 5 years. Families in need reach out and we fulfill all their children’s Christmas wishes! This year with COVID setbacks a lot of families need help! I told my kids about how little some families have and they wanted to do everything possible to help other kids smile! (and make sure they still believe in Santa) Our family picked 5 children to shop for, giving up wants of our own to do so. Friends and family always help me out by grabbing a child’s list because they know how much it means to our family to give back! We have all been in tough situations and know what it’s like; but it’s never a handout, always a hand up. 🎄

Smooth Sailing Dental wants you to know that the ADA has updated their definitive information about Sparkling water!
You know the saying, “everything that is good is actually bad for your health”. If one of your drinking pleasures is sparkling water, you might think that because sparkling water is acidic it would cause cavities? Wrong! New research shows sparkling and regular water cause no harm to your teeth. You can relax. Enjoy your sparkling water.
Important information to keep in mind:
- Please stay away from drinks with sugar.
-Drink regular fluoridated water, because it keep the nasty critters away. (Cavities)
- Plain sparkling water is the best. Any added flavors to the sparkling water is harmful to your teeth and causes cavities.
-Any kind of sweetener added to sparkling water is not sparkling water anymore.
- Regular water is the best for overall health.

Smooth Sailing Dental Assistant, Samantha explains that Dental Assisting is such an extremely rewarding field; and for good reason. “I chose to follow this career because there’s so much potential for opportunity and growth; not only within the field, but within yourself and for your family.
As a Dental Assistant I’m enjoying a path that’s both personally and professionally fulfilling. Not only do Dentists and Hygienists rely on you, we are also responsible for helping patients feel comfortable and happy. I personally get to see some patients smile for the very first time in years and receiving that joyous “thank you” is definitely one of the most rewarding feelings one can experience. As for family, I know my children believe that since the day I picked up my first stack of books that this was my forever calling.”

Dental Assistant Week 2021!
Here is Smooth Sailing Dental Assistant, Morgan’s response. When I was a child, I had very crooked teeth which made me self conscious about my smile. My parents always took me to the dentist for routine cleanings and exams. I was blessed to be introduced to an amazing orthodontist who transformed my smile with traditional braces. When my braces came off, I had so much more confidence and that was life changing for me! I became a dental assistant because the happy feeling of having a nice smile made me want to be a part of transforming other people’s smiles. 😁🦷❤️
