Nicola Riley, MD, is a family practitioner providing primary care, men’s and women’s health care, weight loss, addiction treatment, and more at SMP Family Medicine & Homecare in Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah.
After growing up in New York City, Dr. Riley attended military college and served in the United States Army. She then spent time conducting clinical research at the prestigious Cornell Medical Center in New York City. After several years as a clinical researcher, Dr. Riley earned her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. She completed residency training in family medicine at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Upon completing her education and training, Dr. Riley opened her solo practice, SMP Family Medicine & Homecare. There, she remains dedicated to providing specialized care like palliative medicine, women’s health care, hormone management for transgender individuals, and primary care. She frequently helps patients better understand their bodies and helps them manage their pain, lose weight, prevent diseases, and ease symptoms of both chronic and acute conditions.
For the convenience of her patients, Dr. Riley provides telehealth visits and appointments during weekend hours. She listens intently to each new and returning patient’s needs in order to create a customized treatment strategy with their preferences in mind.
