Solstice Landscape Design is not a typical landscaping company. Tristan, the founder and chief landscape designer at Solstice, is both an artist and an ecologist. He excels at holistically redesigning your bleak, chaotic or overgrown Earth-space into a beautiful sanctuary that respects and honors your needs and desires while also respecting and honoring the the planet and its many inhabitants.

Specializing in residential landscape design, but also offering design for business, churches, retreat centers, etc., Tristan's unique and creative approach allows him to design at all scales. His satisfied clients have asked him to design everything from the tiny 10' x 15' condo patio area in the heart of the city, to multi-acre estates in the countryside. Regardless of the scale, Tristan regularly exceeds clients' expectations with his expertise, integrity and responsiveness. Whether you're a do-it-yourselfer or wish to hire a contractor, Tristan can help you clarify and execute your vision to suit your personal taste, budget and lifestyle.

At Solstice, we only employ ecologically sustainable landscape design and construction methods. These include designing with native plants, using local & recycled materials, specifying LED landscape lighting (imagine your entire yard illuminated beautifully while using less than 50 watts total!), running biodiesel in the work truck, and employing an Earth-centered and thoughtful approach at all levels of the landscape consultation, design and construction process.
