We have been taking this virus very seriously and have provided our families and residents complete transparency for our COVID-19 safety protocols. Solstice Senior Living is now participating in the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program. This means our residents will be among the first in line to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This service is completely free for our community’s associates and residents. Happy Women’s History Month! Today we are celebrating by acknowledging one of our many wonderful residents, June! June has lived at Solstice at Corpus Christi for more than seven years. One of her favorite things about Solstice is the relationships she’s built with fellow residents.
A few fun facts about June are that she loves to play golf and spend time with her Maltese, Charley. She also previously modeled for Jansen Swimwear and traveled all over the United States while working for them.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are celebrating some of our wonderful residents. Meet Sara F.! Sara had a 39-year teaching career and has a master’s degree in education from the University of Texas. She organized and directed the Ballet Folklorico de Killeen and has been a delegate to the Democratic Party conventions on all levels. She also served on the National Education Association board of directors.
All six of Sara’s children are teachers, and she herself was an active member of the Teachers Union and a member of the Killeen Education Association. Sara also served as a city council member for six years and was the president of the Spanish American Genealogical Association. She is a talented dressmaker and was even featured on the PBS cooking show “Somewhere South with Vivian Howard” last year. https://www.somewheresouthtv.com/
Now in her retirement, Sara is a master gardener and loves spending her days at Solstice at Corpus Christi!
