Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley vaccinates residents
We are excited to share that members of our community received the COVID-19 vaccination today. We hosted a vaccine clinic for our residents and associates today and had three pharmacists from City Market and Kroger administer the vaccines. Once our residents received their vaccine, our chef served them cheese, crackers, sparkling punch and water.
Our community celebrated the day with balloons, flowers, music and fun! We had 10 residents in line for the vaccine at a time and another 10 residents in the designated post-vaccination spot, where they enjoyed their snacks. We also had an “I got vaccinated” board for our residents to sign, and they each received an “I got vaccinated” sticker from the health department!

Happy National Women’s History Month! This month, one of the many women we are celebrating is our resident Mickey! Mickey was recently featured in her high school’s alumni association publication. She told them about the struggle of being a teenager in the Great Depression and her decision to join the United States Cadet Nurse Corps after graduating from high school.
