Meet Becca Black, Solstice at Lodi’s interim executive director! Becca spent her youth on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. She is grateful to have been raised by her grandparents, whose influence empowered Becca’s journey in advancing dignified care for seniors. Becca received her undergraduate degree in sociology/gerontology/long-term care administration from Kansas State University. She also completed the administrator-in-training program at a continuing care retirement community.
Over the course of her career, she has had the opportunity to work with independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and continuing care retirement communities. Working in this field has enriched Becca’s life in countless ways! She looks forward to building personal connections at Solstice at Lodi. Outside of work, Becca enjoys watching the Chiefs and Kansas State football, traveling, cooking, art, and spending time with family and friends.

The FDA has authorized two different COVID-19 vaccines. We’re so excited to be bringing these safe and tested vaccines to our residents and associates. We have enrolled in a program with CVS and Walgreens to ensure the vaccine will be available to our staff and residents at onsite clinics conducted in our community. Meet our resident Marian R.! Marian was born in Calistoga and attended the College of Holy Names nursing program in Oakland, Calif., where she earned her R.N. degree.
She married her husband, Phil, in 1949, and together they had three daughters, Sandy, Sue and Judy. She worked at the Contra Costa County Hospital in Martinez until retiring as assistant director of Nursing in 1974!
Marian was also an avid gardener and a member of the Guild of Quilters in Concord for over 20 years. After living in Pleasant Hill for 70 years, Marian relocated to Solstice at Lodi in 2018 and enjoys all the amenities, activities and her many friends here!
Marian celebrated her 101st birthday with us at Solstice at Lodi this week, and we could not be happier to have her as part of our family. Happy birthday, Marian!
Our community had the honor of celebrating our resident Marion’s 101st birthday yesterday. Marion always brings a smile to our residents’ and associates’ faces here at Solstice at Lodi!
