Solstice at Santa Rosa would like to thank our community partner Korbel winery for their generous donation of mini champagne bottles for our residents' personal New Year party kits!
Each resident was given a personal New Year’s Eve party kit in order to ring in the new year safely and in style.
This New Year's Eve at Solstice at Santa Rosa looked a little different, but our residents had a blast! Our Vibrant Life Director created personal party kits for each resident that included all the trimmings for a roaring good time.
The kits included mini champagne bottles donated by Korbel Winery, plastic champaign flutes, Hershey’s chocolate kiss for a midnight kiss, a party popper, party horn, party hats and necklaces and confetti and a plate of appetizers.
The residents were able to have a safe, personal New Year’s Eve party in their apartments. We know being separated from loved ones during holidays is challenging, but the smiles and gratitude they showed when receiving their party kits ended our 2020 on a high and is a reminder that we are all in this together.

Welcome to our new Culinary Services director, Chef Jesse Llapitan! Originally from Seattle, Washington, Jesse grew up on his family’s farm, where his love of cooking began.
He graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and completed his internship at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, in 1989. Prior to joining Solstice at Santa Rosa, Jesse was the senior regional executive chef for Bon Appétit Management Company for Google and several other organizations.
He uses his culinary talents to support many community organizations and is actively involved in food and wine events. He was the recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Chef Award from the American Institute of Food and Wine. “My father moved into Solstice Senior Living at Santa Rosa. They were very accommodating and very organized. He was able to upgrade to a slightly larger apartment. They had a special going on at the time, which also made it more feasible to get him in there. They have a lot of activities. They have a calendar for each week, they have the creative center where you can go and make decorations, and they have a quiet place to read your books. They had a “Welcome Home” sign out in the front when my father got there, which made him feel very special. They just have the little added touches that really make it great. He loves the meals, and he’s a very picky eater.” - Resident’s Family Member
