Prim was the best girl for her appointment today! She's a 10 week old mini dachshund and we are obsessed!
Do you remember the lost puppy that was dropped off at our clinic? He was transferred to the shelter and after his wait period he was still unclaimed. Luckily this handsome boy stole the heart of one of our employees, who adopted him from the shelter. Here he is coming home from the shelter ❤️
Courtesy post for a client: Finley is looking for a new home! Finely is a 1 year, 8 months old mix of Miniature Schnauzer, Lhasa Apso, Chihuahua and Shih Tzu (DNA test was done) I am the kind of guy who likes to savor the love of my humans and not have to share your affections with other dogs in the home. I don't mind them outside of my house, but when I'm with you, I want to be your only little guy. I enjoy going to daycare every once in a while for fun, and sometimes they say I'm a traffic cop, or just like to watch from the sidelines. The home I was rescued from in Texas left me a little insecure, so sometimes I just don't like to share my stuff. I'm a pretty low energy guy, good on a leash, and like to explore the backyard for tree seeds and bamboo leaves, maybe run a little to get the zoomies out. Some of my favorite things to do are laying in the sun chewing a leaf, laying on my comfy blanket that I fluffed just right, sitting on the bed watching out the window at the birds and squirrels...plotting out my plan to get them. I like to be with my person, but don't worry though, I am not the clingy type, I can be happy in a room with you, or another room- especially if there is sun. Oh and the best thing- I can sing! If you ask me to sing, just start howling or wooooing, I will join in and it will be a chorus! I need a little warm up but once I get going- I can be pitch perfect. I sleep through the night in my crate- and I will run in to and wait patiently for my kong with cream cheese. I am saavy with cats, but they kind of weird me out, and I have learned not to chase them. I like most toys, especially the crunchy or squeaky kind, and most any treat and am just a basic simple kind of guy.
We miss seeing your face, but are trying to keep you and our staff safe! Over 80% of practices are using curbside and drop-off services which is unfortunately impacting the wait time during appointments. We know it's hard not being with your furry friend but promise we are doing are best to keep you informed during the appointment process. Thank you in advance for your understanding! https://todaysveterinarypractice.com/vetwatch-veterinary-business-coronavirus-report/

Like most veterinary hospitals, we are booking farther out than normal & doing our best to care for as many pets as possible, while maintaining the safety of our staff and clients. As always, we are grateful for all of our amazing clients and appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. Check out this great video that sheds some light into our increased busyness: https://fb.watch/1SDDNdbQBl/ VINx VetTools September 23 at 6:19 AM · Veterinary friends: this video we’ve created for you to share with your clients is a love letter from us to you. We’ve watched in awe and gratitude for the past 6 months as you all have given everything you’ve got - and then some - to care for your community’s pets in the face of a pandemic. We hope this video will help you share your story with your clients, so they can better understand and appreciate the unprecedented challenges you’ve faced and how they may have affected their recent experiences with your practice. Most importantly, it reinforces that while some of your approaches may have changed, your commitment to your patients hasn’t wavered. "I like this vet office a lot. I actually left another one to come to Sorrento. The one I left was very pushy, didn’t listen to me, and would rack up charges without even discussing them with me first. Sorrento takes good care of my pets, and works with me to figure out the best approach to my dog’s health. I also like that they sent me a text so I could pay online this last visit, after I got home. That was very.." says Stephanie on Google BIRDEYE.COM Sorrento Animal Hospital | Tigard, OR

Portland Veterinary Medical Association March 5 at 7:53 PM · If you are linked to a person on social media who works in veterinary medicine you may have noticed them changing their profile picture to include "NOMV" with the Rod of Asclepius. Some of you may know, but if you don't, NOMV stands for Not One More Vet, Inc. Because we have one of the highest suicide rates of any profession. When you see your friend or social media acquaintance change their profile, it's usually because they have learned of another colleague that succumbed to suicide. Be kind to your veterinary staff. From the front desk staff, technicians, kennel attendants and doctors. We are literally dying trying to help you. (not the original poster) #notonemorevet #NOMV https://www.nomv.org/
