Our team has been installing Ecobee wifi enabled thermostats for a while now. Friday they got to talk to the company about troubleshooting and questions customers have had. Ecobees allow you to control your thermostat anywhere from your phone, pairs with your Amazon Alexa, tracks your energy usage, and uses a second wireless sensor to average room temperatures or create a program to make you more comfortable at night or in the day. While there was no event this year where we were able to gather, we are definitely still participating in Warm the Metro for Project Houseworks! We received our list of seniors in need and have already started doing their furnace checks. We greatly appreciate being able to participate in such a program!
Our Service Tech Alex making sure a Geothermal system is working properly heading into the winter months. Geothermal uses the ground temperature to heat and cool your house and doesn’t use gas or fossil fuel. Though it costs more upfront, a Geothermal system is about 80% more efficient than a typical gas furnace.

HVAC Service Technician
Our crew is hard at work on the Pottawattamie County Courthouse renovations. Mike and Chipper have been installing duct work, and VAV boxes throughout the old Council Bluffs Police Dept. area.
Check out this old service sticker we found recently on a customers furnace duct. A couple of our seasoned technicians think it’s from the 1970’s or 1980’s. The quality service and phone number haven’t changed, but the SOS address has since we built the new shop in 2005.
It's almost a work of art! Our experienced installers put in this zoned, fully modulating York system this week. The entire system talks to each part making sure the homeowners are comfortable in whatever room they're in. Any type of residential installation we do it with honesty and integrity. We got a chance to look at The Old Granary in Ralston this week as they get ready to transform it into office, residential, retail, and event space. Of course, Bushwacker’s is staying too. Ralston’s been an important part of SOS for 3 generations and we’re a proud Ralston Area Chamber of Commerce member.

We’re putting the finishing touches on a the renovations at Genesis Health Club near Westroads. Chuck has been the Job Foreman overseeing the installation of 4 new 10+ ton units, plus new duct work to 7 total units and in parts of the facility.

MASSIVE! The work never stops here at SOS. This duct work will be used for an atrium in a new Downtown Omaha Hotel. They’re more than 8 ft. x 8 ft. and we’re building them in our custom machine shop.
Not a day goes by that we don't think about our former owner Rod Stuehm. He touched many lives with his love and generosity, and we honor him every year with his annual golf tournament.
