To all my friends, I have been in this industry for 38 years and over the years we have been through so much. But now we have covid19 and non of us has had to deal with something that is so powerful it could shut down a nation.
With that being said, I see my fellow industry partners taking time to help. Donating, masks, gloves, food, water and time. It brings tiers to my eyes, because I have always tried to do the right thing to help out someone else in need. In 2005 I decided with my spare time from work I would give back and be an EMT. The joy it brings me that I help someone I didn't even know to a better place in life. I worked at stroger hospital in the trauma unit, Illinois Masonic in the trauma unit and many other positions. All volunteering.
Now comes the call again to help. I'm nervous because we cannot see it coming. I worry about myself, my family and my friends.
But one thing I know is that if you can help so can I.
So keep up the work and keep on helping your fellow Americans. Everyone needs it now more than ever.
