An Update On SARS-CoV-2 And Your Pet - News & Publications
As I think back to 40 years ago when I opened up South Arlngton Animal Clinic in the mist of this plague call Covid-19 corona, it made me think of a plague going on back in 1980 when I opened. The plague was PARVO virus in dog. For dogs, it was a massive plague. The death rate was (and still is) over 75% if it is untreated and we were not even sure how to treat it then. Thanks to some great research they quickly came up with a vaccine. That memory is always a good reminder to stay up on your pets vaccinations and preventative care.
On May 2 1980, forty years ago, I opened the doors at South Arlington Animal Clinic. I graduated University of Missouri two years before and I was ready to head out on my own. It was kind of bold for a 26 year old kid but I do not regret it. But most importantly, thanks to all of you for trusting my staff and I for the care of your pets. It has been a great 40 years!! Thanks again!!
