Martha E. Schmitz, MD, is a board-certified gynecologist and obstetrician caring for patients at South Austin OB/GYN in South Austin, Texas. Dr. Schmitz has been practicing in the Austin area since 1994 and has a passion for working with girls and women to promote overall wellness.
Dr. Schmitz offers a variety of services, including diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions, including surgical procedures when necessary. She provides comprehensive prenatal care for moms-to-be, including regular pregnancy checkups, in-office ultrasounds, and pregnancy education, as well as labor and delivery services.
Dr. Schmitz is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She retains active memberships in the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Association of OB/GYNs, and the Travis County Medical Society. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas, Dr. Schmitz completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York at Syracuse.
When not treating her patients, Dr. Schmitz enjoys spending time with her daughter, Lila Elizabeth.
