The big, rich PBMs have joined together calling themselves "Kentuckians for Fair Drug Prices". The three biggest PBMs made profits of over $16 BILLION dollars LAST YEAR ALONE by claiming that they save people money. Instead they line their own pockets. CVS Caremark made $6.6 BILLION in profits. Express Scripts made $6.4 BILLION in profits. United Healthcare made $3.5 BILLION in profits.
This money was stolen from patients and pharmacies and governments and employers.
These huge pirates want to make your local independent pharmacy look like the criminal here. Local pharmacies fill many prescriptions daily and get paid $0.35 or even less than the cost of the medication while these bandits turn around and bill substantially more than that and keep the money.
If you truly want cheaper drug prices, call your congressman and demand that they look into PBMs and their part in raising drug prices so they can profit off of them.
