I have only been with South Suburban since June, but I have really enjoyed working with all the amazing girls there."

Jessie started at South as an assistant but just recently passed her VTNE and is now on our technician team! She has been in the industry for about 2 years. Not only does she love working with animals, she also loves the science behind it. She is married with a 4-year-old daughter and a son on the way! She also has two dogs, Emmi and Tanner.

Meet one of our newest Doctors!
Dr. Maddie Moffatt is a proud Ohio native, growing up just outside Cleveland. She attended The Ohio State University where she earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Most recently, she practiced at a bustling small animal practice outside Phoenix, which taught her to appreciate Ohio’s winters. A passionate all around general practitioner, Dr. Maddie has special interests in behavior and training, low-stress handling, and strengthening the human animal bond.
Outside of work, Dr. Moffatt spends her free time hiking, reading, and cheering on the Buckeyes, a family tradition stretching back three generations. Her fur babies Mini Australian Shepherd, Luke, and Calico kitty, Tonks, are slowly catching on to the rules of football, and dawn their Buckeye gear along with the rest of the family for every game.

Dr. Kristen Sauty grew up in Dayton, Ohio and earned her bachelor’s degree at Muskingum University where she majored in Biology, Neuroscience, and Molecular Biology. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and has several interests, including animal behavior and nutrition. Her spare time is devoted to family (including the 4-legged ones), improving her Spanish and French language skills, and martial arts.

Please be courteous and wear a mask when interacting with our staff members; whether that be when we come to your vehicle, if you are in the vestibule area, or on the rare occasion, in the building.
With the winter season approaching, we are going to be doing curbside a little bit differently.
After you call us when you arrive, you will come into the vestibule (without your pet) and get a form to fill out, and a pager so we can contact you when we are ready for your appointment.
When your pager goes off, come back to the vestibule with the filled out form, and your pet. We will take your pet from here and bring them into the facility while you return to your car. If you are staying in our parking lot during the appointment, please keep the buzzer. We will buzz you when we are done and you can get your pet at the vestibule.

Keep mistletoe and poinsettias out of reach as they are dangerous and could potentially kill your pets.
As cute as it is, don't let your pets play with the tinsel.
If you are making your own ornaments, especially the dough kinds, put them up high enough so your pets don't eat them.
We love your fur babies, but don't want to see them just after the holiday for an emergency!
