Due to growth and expansion Southern Illinois Waste Container is looking to hire a Local Garbage Truck Driver at our hauling site in Marion, IL. In this position you will be operating a Garbage Truck servicing our commercial and/or residential customers.
*MUST HAVES*
CLASS A CDL W/ AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT
CLEAR DRIVING RECORD
2 YEARS TRUCK DRIVING EXPERIENCE
PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN AS WELL AS RANDOM TESTING ONCE HIRED
*WAGES*
PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE WITH BENEFIT OPTIONS
40-55 Hours/Week, Paid Weekly
*HOURS*
Monday-Friday, 8-12 Hours/Day
No Weekends
*RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES*
-Must be able to work outdoors, hot or cold, and rain or snow
-On time and reliable, start time 6:00 am or earlier
-Follow all safety and maintenance procedures
-Ability to learn route directions and service 250-300 plus customers per day
-Able to pick up 50 or more pounds repeatedly through the day
-Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports
-Complete required route sheets, VIRs and other reports, as required.
Safely and efficiently maintain required productivity standards to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
-Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers, and coworkers on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner
-Ability to adhere to company policies and safety standards
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Energy Transfer Station is currently seeking a part - time Class A CDL driver. It would likely be 10-20 hours/week, $17.00/hour, must have clean MVR and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Experience using a landfill tipper is a plus, if you have interest or know someone that might please let us know!
