Excellent news for small businesses who have received PPP funding; the SBA/Treasury Dept. just came to an agreement and released a simplified loan forgiveness process for businesses who received less than $50,000! Important to note, THIS IS NOT BLANKET FORGIVENESS (though that is still a possibility). We completed our first PPP Forgiveness app this morning, and the Southern Payroll & Benefits team is closely monitoring any and all PPP updates.
