Our taproom is safely reopening TOMORROW at 3pm! In the brief time we were closed, our taproom became "Open & Certified" through the state of Pennsylvania. Being a certified business means that we are taking every precaution, following all health guidelines, and keeping safety a top priority.
Here at Southern Tier, we are committed to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing protocols, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting guidelines set forth by the CDC and state public health and safety requirements, the wearing of face coverings, and limiting their indoor and outdoor capacity.
In addition to the safety protocols we are following, we have also installed bi-polar ionization units in our HVAC ductwork. These units generate clean the air by reducing airborne particles and neutralizing pathogens so you can rest assured the air in here is clean, safe and healthy.

We have been in touch with local wildlife agencies over the past couple of days who have provided their assistance and tips in helping safely capture our new friend.

Us waiting for our friend to wake up from his food coma so we can safely drive him back home and reopen the taproom.
Our newest resident happens to be the smartest in Pittsburgh. We set up traps last night with tasty food in them in hopes of safely catching him and taking him back to his home. He found a way to evade the traps, but still eat the food. (Much like us cheating on our diet the first month into 2021.) Anyways, he’s made his way back into the rafter and is more than likely in a food coma which we must respect.
At this time, we plan on opening at 4pm, unless Mr. Raccoon decides to extend his stay. Stay tuned as the raccoon saga continues!
