Spring Village at Dover celebrated the last day of Assisted Living Week with a parade for our residents. Staff and their families and our wonderful neighbor, Carole, and her family paraded by and said Hello to each resident and received some of Chef Rob's delicious chocolate chip cookies and an SVD mask. One of these people danced on roller skates, one's father was a police officer, one's favorite childhood memory was beginning a job at age 11 and saving money, someone did not play sports but loved to be outdoors and sled on cardboard boxes, someone loves Elvis, and someone else had a father that was a great cook for his five children. Spring Village at Dover was honored today to be able to celebrate the 62nd Anniversary of our friend Eleanore's United States Citizenship. A special ceremony was held complete with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of God Bless America. Congratulations Eleanore!

Happy Friday from Spring Village at Dover! Our residents were treated to musical entertainment this afternoon by Sounds of Bryan. We may not be able to have entertainers in person right now, but thanks to some innovative entertainers our residents are still enjoying musical programs.
Part of the charm of Spring Village at Dover is that our whole team is here in whatever capacity necessary for our residents. Take for example our Business Office Manager, Donna Anderson, she has used her beautician skills to keep our salon open during Covid, and then today provided a lovely Happy Hour for our residents. She decorated Town Square with table clothes and candles, served creative appetizers and drinks, and drew upon the talents of another team member, our concierge Rachel, to play the piano (ah, live music, how we have missed you!). Spring Village at Dover is all about the residents, but the staff are pretty amazing too! Happy Friday the 13th!

Happy Veteran's Day! Our Activities Assistant Extraordinaire, Lorraine, created a beautiful Veteran's Day ceremony for our residents to celebrate our military men and women. Our residents who are veterans were recognized, residents sang patriotic tunes, held a moment of silence, and heard from staff members about their connections to the military. It was lovely. Spring Village at Dover gratefully thanks Veterans for their service!
