Dear valued SRK Customers,
It is with great sadness that I announce that Square Roots Kitchen will be permanently closing. Our doors will shut to retail customers tomorrow at 3 pm, and we will finish the month offering catering only. Unfortunately our location did not provide the foot traffic needed to sustain the overhead of opening our own store, and try as we might to build our offsite revenue it was not enough.
To all of our customers and friends of SRK, I just want to say thank you. We wouldn't have made it this far without you. We did a lot of things right, and I will hold my head high knowing that we made great healthy food and helped so many people eat well in our four years of operation.
If you'd like to help in any way, please order some catering this month! We could use all the business that we can as we wind down operations. Additionally, if you are looking for any staff we have some amazing team members in our kitchen and I would be overjoyed to find them new roles.

As colder temperatures settle in and Chicago readies for winter, at Square Roots Kitchen we have already turned to our selection of quinoa bowls to keep us warm ♨️
From our Comfort Food Bowl with pulled pork marinated in barbecue sauce to our Cowboy Steak Bowl with seasoned beef tenderloin, every customizable bowl on our menu is the ideal meal to find comfort with on a cold day.
Along with the cold and shorter hours, SRK will be adjusting to winter hours starting today. Until spring we will be open only for our rush periods during lunch from 11am to 3pm, and closed on the weekends.
We will still offer catering outside of those hours though, so if you do have a larger order please email us at orders@squarerootskitchen.com and we will be happy to help.
