We are currently seeking a Radiology Operations Manager to direct and manage daily technical operations of all cross sectional divisions of the department of Radiology. Radiology- 40 hrs/week- Day Shift Position Function: Reporting directly to the Administrative Director of Radiology, directs and manages daily technical operations of all cross sectional divisions of the department of Radiology. This includes but not limited to CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. Supervises technical, various support and clerical staff assigned. The Cross Sectional Operations Manager will supervise the clerical staff and technologists aides. The lead technologists of the above areas will report to the Operations Manager. Will participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures and assure that modality operations are in compliance with established Medical Center and regulatory standards. Job Relationships: Reports to: Administrative Director Supervises: Lead technologist , staff technologists, technologist aides, customer service representatives and imaging center representatives. Works collaboratively with: Department leadership, physicians and staff. Relationships: Patients, family, visitors, staff, physicians, vendors and service personnel. Must be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with physicians, department staff and other health care professionals. Minimum Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology Minimum of Bachelors degree. Minimum Experience: Three to five years supervisory experience in a hospital radiology department, preferably at a teaching hospital. Minimum skills/abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate efficient and courteous communications with patients, hospital employees and vendors. Fiscal skills sufficient to satisfactorily analyze and present information budget performance including stafing patterns. Knowledge of computer applications sufficient to satisfactorily operationalize RIS and PACS technologies as well as digital imaging. Excellent problem resolution skills. Certification/Licensure: Must have ARRT registration. Must have licensure by State of Massachussetts. Training: Additional training will be provided as necessary. Special Qualifications: Must obtain required CEU hours to maintain state licensure and national registration. Competency with PACS preferred.
