Hi friends, just some updates about hours, services, and medications. Our patients, staff, and clients’ health is our top priority. We plan to reopen on May 11th. Our hours will be 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. Our services are available through curbside care. If you have an appointment, please call when you arrive, and we will retrieve your pet(s) from your vehicle; all concerns will be discussed via telephone. Please have your fur babies in a carrier or on a leash for safe transportation into the clinic. It is highly recommended that everyone wear a mask with any interaction during this time – we must all do our part. We will fill prescriptions through our online pharmacy or call prescriptions out to another pharmacy. Please don’t hesitate to call if your pet is in need of a refill, 505-881-3030. You can also fill out a prescription refill request through our website: www.nmvet.com Please be patient as we are slowly working towards a new normal and being fully staffed. We are all in this together, and we want the very best for your fur babies. NMVET.COM Vet | Albuquerque, NM | St. Francis Animal Clinic
Heartworm is a potentially serious condition that can affect both cats and dogs. While the greatest danger is in warmer months, your pet is at risk all year long. Experts say 22 different types of mosquitoes are capable of spreading the disease.
While many treats that are marketed for cats and dogs claim they’ll help to clean their teeth in the process, it’s not quite the same as a regular brushing. If your pet is too fidgety for you to brush their teeth regularly, it’s important to schedule professional cleanings.
Our clinic remains closed during this time. We have staff scanning messages 1-2 hours per day Monday- Friday. We have received messages regarding urgent matters. Please keep in mind that St. Francis Animal Clinic is not an emergency hospital. We will have to direct you to a bigger hospital like Rt 66, VCA, etc. we understand that some pets are in need of medication refills. Our clients can go to our website to request these refills. We are taking things day by day here at St. Francis Animal Clinic. We thank all of our clients for their understanding and support during this time. We hope you are all doing well, and we will update our Facebook as soon as we plan to reopen.
