Dignity Health Cancer Center has partnered with Ventura County Hematology-Oncology Specialists Medical Group to provide patients increased access to clinical research trials. This partnership allows Dignity Health's physicians to offer active trials to patients they treat within our communities. Participation in a clinical trial gives patients access to treatments that may not be readily available for years to come. The knowledge gained from clinical trials give scientists and physicians better guidance to prevent, diagnose, treat, and relieve symptoms of cancer. For more information, call 805.988.2741.
Our NICU team celebrated this Saturday, the graduation of Victoria Magaña, the first patient in the brand new NICU. For the special day, baby Victoria wore a graduation cap and was carried out of the unit as her care team played “Pomp and Circumstance” in the background. After 39 days in the NICU, now weighing 5 lbs. 8 oz., the proud mom and dad were able to take their ‘princess’ Victoria home, to meet her older brothers. “Victoria’s arrival took us by surprise,” said Julio Magaña, Victoria’s father. “Looking back, I am so thankful for the five-star care that she received. Being able to stay with our baby with the added comforts of home made a stressful time more manageable.” For more information about our NICU, please call 805.988.2664. . . . #DignityHealth #DignityHealthStJohns #Healthcare #VenturaCounty
