Although Hurricane Laura was not the threat to Houston initially thought, our ride-out team of both clinical and non-clinical staff worked tirelessly to prepare our hospital. Our dedicated staff stayed overnight to ensure there was no disruption of care to our patients. Many behind the scene heroes in our Facilities, Environmental Services, and Dietary Departments created a safe environment not only for our patients, but also our staff members. Our thoughts are with the residents of Southeast Texas and Louisiana this morning as they begin to recover from the storm.
