With the leaves changing and temperatures dropping, we are challenging our folks to an internal wellness initiative called Step It Up For Charity Challenge. At the end of the 4 weeks, the winner with the most steps will have $100 donated to the charity of their choice. Jordan Echols, Project Manager, has picked LifeLine Animal Project - the leading non-profit organization working to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in metro Atlanta shelters. Jordan and her dog, Dakota have utilized both of these services, and they think Lifeline is wonderful!
Erin Duff, our Marketing Manager - Brand, People and Culture, is putting her steps toward the Atlanta Humane Society - which is one of the oldest charities in the city. The organization provides more than 60,000 animal care points and helps find nearly 10,000 animals loving homes each year.
Cancer is a word no one ever wants to hear, but many are impacted by this horrific disease - whether through the loss of someone they love, battling it themselves or knowing someone close to them who knows someone experiencing it. That's why our VP of Delivery, Marla Lowry, chose the American Cancer Society as her charity for our Step It Up For Charity Challenge in honor of her mother - whose strength and perseverance were truly amazing.
Today wraps up our Step It Up for Charity Challenge, and we are going out with a bang spotlighting our QA specialist, Laura Chang. She is donating her win to Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters of Atlanta - the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast.
Shannon Newton, our People Operations Manager, has been a proud member of the Dream Warriors Foundation for years and is stepping to support this group. Each year, our People & Culture team collaborates on an internal theme that sets the tone for the upcoming year. Our theme is the driving force for inspiration, morale, initiatives and so much more across the company. But 2020 was a grueling year. When it came time to determine a theme for 2021 back in the fall, we were exhausted. But as the new year came, a fresh sense of inspiration blossomed, and we erupted with energy when we came to the conclusion that 2021's theme should be about: together. Learn from our Chief People & Culture Officer Jami Sieder on how Stable Kernel is prioritizing togetherness in how we work, where we work and how we grow in 2021 to keep practicing on becoming better. https://hubs.ly/H0Gdxys0
