Every night before I go to bed I spend a few minutes reflecting on my day.

I didn’t treat my patients as a number and I made sure they were empowered as individuals with knowledge. Big concepts were explained in simple terms and I made sure patients felt cared for. I recently invested in a few pricey products from the store that advertised themselves as all-natural cleaners of fruits and vegetables. Who is someone that’s really important in your life?
For me, it is my super supportive husband. When we’re not both managing intensely busy careers (me as a healthcare professional, and him as an engineer at a tech company), we’re trying to fit in time to prioritize our relationship and nurture our marriage. For us that means squeezing in a date night every other week & being present even in life’s most mundane tasks.

Biocompatibility testing is the way we measure how compatible a device or material is with your body.
For most people, dental materials are don’t create an immune reaction. But in a smaller section of the population—and here’s why biocompatibility testing is essential—reducing exposure to toxicity is essential to preventing allergy-like responses.
Those people are described as having multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS). They’re reported to be somewhere between 12% and 33% in the general population. And there are a significant number of people who are overtly allergic, or otherwise immunologically reactive, to chemicals in their environment. It results in a range of idiosyncratic, highly individual immune reactions in susceptible people.

Laser technology is a tool that allows you to take a conservative approach to controlling gum (periodontal) disease. In our office we use the Biolase laser, a gentle and flexible option, and provides a highly effective treatment to manage gum disease and improve your oral health. It does this by getting into the depths of gum pockets and removing aggressive bacteria that's very difficult to reach. 🦠
Gingivectomy- We also use laser to correct gummy smiles. This is one of our favorite things to do when we do cosmetic recontouring! Small changes, make a big difference. 🤩
Frenectomies- A lip frenum connects your upper or lower lip to the gum between your front middle teeth. For most people, this tissue is not noticeable. For some the frenum may be removed if you are experiencing pain to the upper lip and gums, or if the lip frenum causes a large gap between your teeth that cannot be corrected with braces.👄
Releasing tongue ties- A lingual frenum is the muscular tissue that connects the bottom of your tongue to the floor of your mouth. In some cases, the tissue extends to the tip of the tongue, restricting the ability to eat or speak. This procedure is performed only if a child is unable to eat or speak properly.👅
