Stamna Taverna was established in February of 2008 by Alex and Angela Nissirios who hail from Karpathos, a small island in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea, located in Greece. Alex recognized that an Authentic Greek Restaurant with home cooked traditional Greek fare was missing from Northern New Jersey; he did not hesitate to take the opportunity to create Stamna.
From the first week that Stamna opened its’ doors to the public, it had and continues to receive a large number of excellent reviews from various magazines and news media outlets including but not limited to: Zagat, The New York Times, and many more.
We look forward to serving you for many years to come.
