I had some trouble climbing steps but with the help from all the wonderful therapists at Star, I am back on track!
I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know that needs therapy. My thanks to all of y'all!"

"How I was feeling in the beginning, I was not able to walk on my right foot. I was not able to do regular house chores like vacuuming. I wasn't able to run, hop, skip, or do everyday work or chores including being able to drive and be with family and friends.
Being here at STAR Physical Therapy, I can finally walk and do all the things I couldn't do before the car accident. I've accomplished all my exercises to fully develop my physical health. The effort was all worth it and I can't thank enough all the staff here at STAR.
Liz was very good at her job and very good with all of her skills. I am really going to miss all the people who helped me achieve my goal of getting well. Thank you all at STAR Physical Therapy! Be safe and keep doing a good job!"

If you’ve recently gotten injured while on the job, you’re probably in recovery mode. Not knowing how long you’ll be unable to work can be quite stressful. A licensed physical therapist will be able to assess your condition and help you heal quickly and safely.
“I came here with little motion and balance. Quickly after starting physical therapy, I came off a walker and I did not have to use a cane for walking. Muscle strength came back by the 4th visit. I was able to play golf and ride my motorcycle again.
Physical therapy gave me the ability to work on the construction sites. Thank you to the staff at STAR Physical Therapy!”

Our Slidell crew went all pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Such an important cause.
Jimmy Nguyen is a Physical Therapy Technician in our Lakefront Clinic.
'STAR is a place that has become a second home for me. I enjoy working alongside my team and assisting patients. To be able to personally connect with each and every patient and help them improve their functionality is what drives me to continue along this journey with them. I am proud to be a part of the STAR family.'
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
'I enjoy going to the gym and being active. Outside of physical activity, I find myself binge-watching shows and movies.'
What is something about you that people might find surprising?
'Although I may not be the most tech savvy person in the world, I am proud of the fact that I built my own computer.'
Jimmy also has a deep appreciation for umbrellas and painting. He hopes one day to be able to marry these two passions in a screenplay he is writing, called "Painting my Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh." Jimmy is actively pursuing a collaboration with Rhianna, and is optimistic that this will be his big ticket straight to the top.
If you see Jimmy in the clinic, he loves to be called "Umbrella Man." So go ahead and make his day with this favorite moniker.
Thanks for being at STAR, Umbrella Man. Wishing you all the best in your creative career."
"First I want to say how great everyone here is. All the therapists and assistants do a great job.
On my first day I was having a lot of pain. I can say my pain level was about a 9/10. But now on a good day, my pain level is at a 2/10. I couldn't raise my right arm past shoulder height, now I can hold it straight up!
Thanks to everyone for their help. I am 80% better than when I first started!"

As we age, we may find that it’s harder for us to keep our balance. This puts us at risk of falling and injuring ourselves. Physical therapy can help with balance and gait issues. https://starptclinics.com/physical-therapy-services/balance-gait-disorders/
"I would like to let you know that Hillary, La'Tura, and Elshnique have been a Godsend! I can now sit on the side of my bathtub and put my legs in and then my body to take a bath! This is great! Also, I can stand in my kitchen for a little while to cook and wash dishes.
All these things are new to me. I have had this pain for over a year and this lady Hillary has helped me greatly. Please do not let this stop. Her help has helped me so much! I know I will be walking [without a walker] soon.
Thank God for Star Physical Therapy and these wonderful ladies. I just love them for their tolerance, patience, and love for all their clients. God bless them!"

My experience here at STAR has been great. Everyone is friendly and has been very helpful.
When I started I was using a walker & cane. Couldn’t walk more than a couple of blocks and had trouble with stairs and climbing in general. Now, the walker & cane are gone, I’m doing a minimum of 2 miles a day and house cleaning is no longer a problem. I’m still working on stairs but I have mostly improved. I can do things now without help whereas before I couldn’t.
My time here at STAR has been enjoyable and helpful. I don’t know how I would have managed thru my injury without Emily, Tori and everyone else at Star in Lacombe.
