City of Steamboat Springs - Government 6 May at 19:15 · The Rehder Building located on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and 8th Street was constructed in 1905 to house the First National Bank, Steamboat Springs’ third banking institution. The building’s sandstone was quarried locally, and its red brick was pressed from Yampa Valley clay. Now the home of the @Steamboat Art Museum, the city owns this local Historic Landmark. Come Thursday March 19 we will experience a change in the seasons with one of the earliest spring (vernal) equinox, marking the official start of spring. This change is generally thought of as a time of change and renewal, warm days on the mountain, the snow starts to melt quickly, the rivers start flowing, flowers/trees begin to bud and bloom, and wildlife wakes up from their winter nap. At the same time, we are experiencing another change in the way we communicate and socially distance ourselves from one another. In the time of uncertainty, one thing remains true we are all together, helping one another maneuver through trying times. As a small close-knit group, the staff at Steamboat Architectural Associates wanted to let our community of clients, family and friends know we are sensitive to the ongoing challenges and are carefully monitoring the recommendations of our State and CDC. As a result, we are still continuing business as usual, just from our home offices. The same quality work and communication should still be expected of our team. In order to accommodate our clientele, we are all available by phone, email, Skype, Zoom or Facetime and are happy to schedule meetings, as needed. We will monitor our work environment on a weekly basis and update on when we’ll return back to the office. In a time of uncertainty, we encourage all in our community to continue life as best they can. What has been unbalanced will balance back out and we will all move on. And now is the best time to keep plans on track. As life takes a quick pause to reset, and we emerge from hibernation, the building community will be renewed to begin new projects. Now is the best time to prepare and be ready. Our office line will have instructions on how to best reach each of us. Of course, email is just as easy as a phone call. We are here to help Monday-Friday. And don’t forget to wash your hands.
