About

With over 35 years worth of experience in pediatric medicine, Stephen A. Schulman, MD, has a passion for caring for children. His scope of pediatric care begins with newborn hospital visits and goes throughout adolescence and young adulthood until patients turn 18. At his pediatric practice in Denton, Texas, Dr. Schulman offers highly personalized care and attention at every visit. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an active member of the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Pediatric Society, and the Denton County Medical Society.
Dr. Schulman has been in private practice most of his career, previously serving as the chairman of the department of pediatrics at Denton Regional Medical Center and Texas Health Resources, both in Denton. He was also the chief of staff at Denton Community Hospital. He’s the only pediatrician in the area that makes his own hospital visits for newborn care and maintains hospital privileges at Texas Health Denton.
Graduating with honors, Dr. Schulman earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan and went on to complete his internship and pediatric residency at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
In his practice, Dr. Schulman offers a wide range of pediatric services and is especially passionate about diagnosing and treating conditions, like ADD, ADHD, asthma, and allergies. He believes strongly in working closely with families and providing resources and education to ensure children’s health. 
Dr. Schulman also values the importance of preventive care and nutrition and discusses healthy living strategies at every visit. He has been guiding children toward good food choices for 35 years and much of his staff have been working alongside him for many years, providing guidance and care to support optimum health. 
When not working with his patients, Dr. Schulman enjoys spending time with his wife, Marsha, and two daughters. Both of his daughters have wonderful families and Dr. Schulman loves being with his grandkids.
