I know that it is still hot and muggy out but winter is coming and you should get your transmission serviced before that happens. After working hard all summer long the additives in transmission fluid do wear out. So get your transmission ready winter with a new filter and fluid.
Most people can feel it when a transmission starts slipping, but there are two other signs of transmission failure that most people don' realize. One is a chatter. This happens when the clutch or band does not operate smoothly. It can feel like you are driving over rumble strips on the road during or just after a shift happens. The second is called a flair. A flair happens when the engine revs up while the transmission is shifting. Both are early signs of failure.
With all the heat coming off of the roads these days - have your transmission serviced to help it last longer.
It is springtime and time for a transmission service to get ready for summer or the long vacation trip
Remember that in the spring it is a good time to have your transmission serviced. I recommend at least every 5th oil change or when the weather goes from cold to hot and then again hot to cold. Transmission fluid does have additives that do wear out after about 1 year.
