Hello my name is Steve Shaw. I am an Attorney in Huntsville, Alabama and have been for the past 25 years. I received my undergraduate degree from California State University at Long Beach in 1976. I was an Educator and swimming/water polo coach from 1977-1986 when I returned to school to obtain my Law Degree from The University of Alabama.
I hold an active license to practice law in Alabama and Tennessee and I maintain an inactive license in California. I am currently admitted to practice in all Alabama and Tennessee State Courts, the Unites States District Courts for the southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
A member of the state bars of California, Tennessee and Alabama, I am also a former member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, where I served as secretary in 1996-1997. For 5 years I served on the Executive Board for Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, including one year as the chairperson for that section. From 1998-2002 I served the community as an elected member of the Huntsville City Schools Board of Education where I represented District 3 and was the Board’s Vice President in 2000-2001 and President in 2001-2002.
I have had the privilege of representing banks, mortgage companies and financial institutions in state and federal courts throughout Alabama in matters involving real estate to include bankruptcy, ejectment, eviction, foreclosure, loan origination, loan modification, and REO Sales. My experience makes me well suited for representing individuals and entities in matters pertaining to business formation and contracts.
My list of clients include a number of businessess and individuals concerning various real estate matters such as commercial and residential contracts, leases, title insurance, boundary line disputes, and mechanics and materialmen’s liens.
